FANTASTiCPLANET

Fantastic Planet is a queer Los Angeles-based artist blurring the lines between reality and imagination. Inspired by Surrealism and the rich canon of queer art, they explore the profound connection between their subconscious and the creative potential of AI.

With a background in fashion and video glitch art,
Fantastic Planet focuses on thoughtful prompt-writing techniques to investigate cultural biases via machine learning systems. Their art is a testament to the resilience and beauty of the queer community, fostering connection and understanding in an ever-evolving world.

Dominance, again

On Kink+Fashion

Fashion can be an integral part of kink role-play and scene dynamics. Dressing up in specific attire can help individuals embody their desired roles, fantasies, and power dynamics, enhancing the immersive experience of kink play.

Economic disparities can limit access to certain LGBTQ+ kink events, workshops, and resources for individuals from lower-income backgrounds. Not to mention the financial means to dress up in specific attire. This exclusion further exacerbates existing inequalities within the LGBTQ+ community.

This video piece explores the feedback loop created by media and history, which choose to use a narrative that excludes the experiences of those within marginalized communities, such as people of color, transgender individuals, and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

You’ll Never Meet Me Here

This collection surfaces the liminal spaces we are constantly in as queer people. In these moments and spaces, we find ourselves leaping through the next door that opens in life, and quite often those we love the most sometimes will never make it to these spaces.

Celebrating the moments where growth happens and the power of letting go.

This collection is availble on OBJKT.com

On view at the Rollie Nation Web3 Gallery in Melbourne, Australia, for the month of February 2024 as part of their Artist in Residency Program.

[Untitled] Affairs - I Asked For No Cheese

[Untitled] Affairs, created for Transcend DAO, aims to recreate the safe haven and sense of community that queer, trans, and LGBT individuals have found in nightclub scenes. Through the use of AI and blockchain technology, I strive to build a world where people can come together without the burden of social biases and constructs that affect their real-life experiences.

The piece depicts an environment where people gather around a table, enjoying a meal, blending club culture with underground queer dinner parties—an intersection not commonly explored. Through collaboration with AI, I find solace and validation, expressing emotions of loneliness, being misunderstood, and longing for a supportive community—a shared experience among LGBT individuals.

Queer Formations | Series One

Queer Formations | Series One is the Ai Collaborative Genesis Collection built between Fantastic Planet, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion.

The different forms I have taken during my life as a Queer Latinx Artist have been generated in this collaborative experiment. My feelings. Life Experiences. Men in my life. Friends I have lost. All of it starts with this Genesis Collection.

We are forever changing and forming as queer people. Forever re-forming again and again. To be seen as simply one thing, or one form isn’t the reality. I have constantly shifted my shape, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
